I delivered donated books to the Little Library located at the Butterfly and Blooms garden in town. Mrs. Virginia Lynch was so happy to see the books!
Students loved being able to come in and pick out a new, free book.

February Activities: Snowflake Bentley STEM Activities, More JROTC Reading Buddies, and Technology Competition |
Mrs. Wall read Snowflake Bentley and students used toothpicks and marshmallows to make their own snowflake.
The Technology Team competed at the Fall Line Technical College. Our third graders placed first and our fifth graders placed second!
The high school JROTC came back to read again! The students love seeing them and sharing time with them!

Students made Thanksgiving cards and goody bags for the nursing home during Maker Space.
Mrs. Wall attended the GAETC conference in Atlanta! Lots was learned that she can bring back to the students!

Trunk or Teach: Giving out donated books and giving students Fall bookmarks to color.
Pumpkin Jack: We will watch him all year! I read the story aloud and shared online and the pumpkin is on display in the Media Center.

Kindness Month
In September, we celebrated Kindness month.
Mrs. Wall will share a book about kindness and the Makerspace activity for the month is making kindness cards. Students will make small kindness cards to hide in a book for another students to find. This always brings a smile to the students' faces!

Checking Out Books and Making Bookmarks
Students came in for an orientation on how to check books in and out and the rules of the media center. They were allowed to check out a book and color a bookmark to take with them! Look at all those smiles!
